Why GearPOD ROOF

The GearPOD ROOF was born from continued R&D and consumer feedback on its cousin, the GearPOD XL from the ACS FORGED modular truck bed accessory family. It borrows many of the GearPOD XL's successful traits — the Leitner Lid Lifter, locking handles, and a user-serviceable bulb seal — while adding side-opening access for easy reach when installed on the vehicle.

Keying: We cannot guarantee your GearPOD ROOF will be keyed alike to any GearPODs you currently own. If you want your GearPODs keyed alike, leave a note before checkout or email support@leitnerdesigns.com before ordering.

Not fully waterproof: Every effort has been made to make the GearPOD ROOF as water-tight as possible. However, due to manufacturing tolerance, driving conditions, and weather, we don't recommend storing items that could be damaged by water without placing them in their own airtight container first.

What racks is the GearPOD ROOF compatible with?

It's tested compatible with Prinsu, Rhino Rack, Front Runner, Sherpa, and other racks that use a T-slot design load bar, including the Leitner ACS ROOF Platform Rack. It's the one GearPOD that doesn't need a Leitner rack under it.

Can I remove it without tools?

Yes. The mounting cleats release by hand — lift the whole box off the bars and take it with you, no tools or unbolting required.

What bags fit inside?

2 Step 22 Stingray Flat Boxes, sold separately.

Is the GearPOD ROOF waterproof?

It's designed to be as water-tight as possible, but not guaranteed fully waterproof due to manufacturing tolerance, driving conditions, and weather. We recommend storing water-sensitive items in their own airtight container inside the box.

Can I have my GearPODs keyed alike?

We can't guarantee it automatically, but if you'd like your GearPODs keyed alike, leave a note before checkout or email support@leitnerdesigns.com before ordering.

What's the warranty?
