Why ACS ROOF

ACS ROOF brings 10 years of Active Cargo System engineering — and hundreds of thousands of off-road testing miles — to the roof of your Ford Transit 148. It's a modular, no-drill platform rack with infinitely adjustable sliding load bars, built stronger and lighter than typical roof rack systems, and easy enough to assemble yourself.

Every ACS ROOF is over-engineered and over-built in Corona, California, with Grade 10.9 black Zi-Ni fasteners, a dual-stage powder coat finish, and a low 4-inch profile. Removable corner caps make auxiliary lighting installation simple, and an optional OWL SIDE ladder integrates for easy roof access.

Frequently Asked Questions

See all FAQs →

Does the ACS ROOF rack require drilling to install on my Ford Transit 148?

No. ACS ROOF is a no-drill, bolt-on roof rack. It fits the Transit 148 high and mid roof, with or without a factory rail system. If installing without factory rails, call us at 949-395-3049.

Does it fit both the high and mid roof Transit 148?

Yes. There are two versions — mid roof (part 00-FT148MRA-1906) and high roof (part 00-FT148HRA-1907) — both for the 2015+ Transit 148.

Can I add the OWL SIDE ladder?

Yes — the Transit 148 ACS ROOF supports optional OWL SIDE ladder integration for easy roof access.

What is the load capacity of the ACS ROOF?

The ACS ROOF is rated at 1,000 lbs static, 600 lbs on-road, and 300 lbs off-road. Always confirm your vehicle manufacturer's roof load rating, as it may be lower than the rack's capacity.

Can I add lockable, water-resistant storage to the ACS ROOF?

Yes, with the GearPOD ROOF accessory. It's a nearly 96-quart, side-opening storage box with locking handles and a water-resistant seal, so you can access your gear from the side.

Can I install auxiliary lighting on the ACS ROOF?

Yes. The corner caps remove for quick auxiliary lighting installation.
